Our terms and conditions (updated 16 August 2023)

We recommend that you read through these terms and conditions before making a booking with Prime Snowsports Ltd.

By making a booking with us you agree to the terms and conditions listed below.

If anything is not clear please do get in touch as we will be happy to talk through things with you.

Note that all prices quoted are for ski instruction and guiding services only. It is your responsibility to pay for separately all other potential costs connected with the private lesson or booking, such as lift pass, equipment hire, accommodation, and insurance.

Booking

Payment in full is required at the time of booking (unless otherwise arranged).
A contract will not exist until we have sent an email confirming receipt of your payment.

Payment

Payment can be made by bank transfer in GBP to the Prime Snowsports Ltd account.

We can also accept payment using credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover & Diners). Payments to be made by card will incur a small surcharge on invoicing.

Cancellation

Prime Snowsports will offer you a full refund on your booking for any private lessons or guiding in the event that we have to cancel your booking due to instructor COVID-19 infection or related illness or self isolation purposes.

In the event of a cancellation by you for whatever reason, reimbursement will be calculated as follows:

•  More than 8 weeks notice — refunded 90% of total fee
•  Between 8 and 2 weeks notice — refunded 50% of total fee
•  Less than 2 weeks notice — nil refund

Cancellations must be made by email.

No refund will be given by Prime Snowsports, in whole or part, for unused private lessons or guide bookings due to a client’s late arrival, illness or accident, piste or lift closure due to weather conditions or mechanical failure, or for any other cause outside our control. In such instances, we will happily provide a letter for your insurance company.

Unfortunately no refund will be given for private lessons or a guide booking cancelled by a client due to unfavourable weather or snow conditions.

Prime Snowsports reserves the right to cancel its private lessons or guiding where reasonably necessary (instructor illness, required self isolation or injury for example) and full refunds of the unused lessons or booking will be made in this instance.

Insurance

Note that Prime Snowsports does not insure its clients. You are obliged to insure yourself with adequate winter sports travel insurance to include third party liability, personal injury, accident, losses and rescue cover.

We recommend that you arrange a comprehensive insurance policy with a licenced agent which includes appropriate cover for your private lessons and guiding with us. For higher level skiers we recommend that you are fully covered to ski off piste.

In addition, we strongly recommend that you choose a travel insurance policy that will give you the following COVID-19 cover:

1) Medical expenses if you catch COVID-19 while you are away.
2) Additional accommodation and transport costs if you have to quarantine because you catch COVID-19 while you are away.
3) Cancellation costs if you or a close relative are diagnosed with COVID-19 before you go, and you have to quarantine or the FCDO change their advice after you booked your holiday.
4) Cover to cut short your trip if the FCDO change their advice unexpectedly regarding the country you are visiting.

Our ski instructors are insured with their own professional indemnity and public liability insurance.

Safety

For reasons of safety it is a condition of booking that you respect the professional judgement of the instructor at all times during your private lesson or whilst being guided on and off piste.

We require children and teenagers up to 18 years to wear helmets during lessons.

For specific off piste lessons and dedicated off piste days, we require you to wear and carry avalanche safety equipment. We can advise you where to hire the equipment should you not possess your own.

Privacy and data protection

We require your email address in order to make a booking. We will email confirmation of your payment and details of the booking. We will not supply your email address or any other personal details to third parties or suppliers.

Customer commitment

If at any time during your private lesson or whilst skiing with your guide you have cause for complaint, please let us know immediately so that we can address the situation straight away and endeavour to resolve it to your satisfaction.
